What is the maximum depth this connector can withstand underwater?
Answer: It can be immersed in water no more than 10 meters deep. -

Answer: Only a screwdriver is required to connect the wires. -

Answer: Yes, they are safe for home use as well as outdoor applications. -

Can they be used on flat cable?
Answer: They can but I wouldn't expect them to seal properly. -

Can somebody please confirm that 11.7 mm cable will fit?
Answer: I used them with 1.0 mm 3 core and they worked well. If it's diameter of cable, I would say no they will not fit. -

Would these be suitable for connecting cable on garden spotlights?
Answer: These are really great for round cable around 6-9mm diameter. It sort of implies 12mm but 12mm wasn't close to going in. For lighting, the cable supplied with the lights was about 7mm as was the 3 core I had to wire it in with and this worked really well.

The 5 Pcs 3 Pole Waterproof Junction Box Outdoor Cable Connector is a compact and easy-to-install unit to connect cables. These connectors are great for round cable around 6-9mm dia. Some customers have used these connectors for garden spotlights, but customers are not sure about their waterproofing. The units come with L, N and E marks which are difficult to see in low light conditions. The instructions do not come with any details on how to connect the wires, but they are held by screw connectors on both sides, so to remove a connector, you need to unscrew the outer and then use a screwdriver to release the three wires. The units are sturdy and slightly bulky. They are made of good quality materials and reasonably priced.
