Format: DVD DVD Editorial Review
Short Term 12 is an impactful and heartwarming independent film, focusing on character and dialogue due to its smaller budget. Acting performances by Brie Larson, Kaitlyn Dever and Lakeith Stanfield are praised, with Stanfield's performance being Considered Oscar-worthy. The film tells a personal story about today's troubled youth, with a realistic approach that avoids over-dramatization. However, some aspects of the film lacked polish, such as the camera work, locations and dialogue. Despite this, the film is Considered a great watch that will touch audiences' hearts. Fans of Room are recommended to watch this film, as Brie Larson's acting is exceptional. The film covers heavy themes such as foster and homeless kids that may not be suitable for sensitive viewers.
