Investiga en el grupo INSUP de la UPC y sus líneas de trabajo se centran en el diseño y validación de estructuras aligeradas y modelos porosos para aplicaciones biomédicas. Ha escrito una veintena de libros relacionados con las materias en las que ejerce de profesor.
