What is Flex Paste and how does it work?

Flex Paste is a waterproof rubberized paste designed to seal and protect against leaks and water damage. Its unique formula allows it to bond to a variety of surfaces, creating a flexible barrier that can withstand extreme weather conditions. This makes it ideal for use on windows, doors, garage doors, and seams where moisture could cause damage.

Can Flex Paste be painted over?

Yes, Flex Paste can be painted over once it has fully cured. This allows you to match the paste with the existing color of your surfaces. The versatility of Flex Paste makes it suitable for cosmetic repairs while still providing a strong, waterproof seal underneath. Just ensure that the paste is dry before applying any paint for optimal adhesion.

Is Flex Paste resistant to mold and mildew?

Flex Paste is formulated to resist moisture, which helps prevent the growth of mold and mildew. When applied correctly, it creates a waterproof barrier that protects surfaces from prolonged exposure to water. For best results, ensure that the area is clean and dry before application to maximize its protective qualities.

How long does Flex Paste take to cure?

Flex Paste typically requires 24 to 48 hours to cure fully, depending on temperature and humidity conditions. During this curing time, the paste transitions from a pliable state to a strong, flexible bond that effectively seals potential leaks. It's advisable to avoid exposing the area to moisture until the curing process is complete for the best protection.

Can Flex Paste be used on vertical surfaces?

Yes, Flex Paste adheres well to vertical surfaces, making it suitable for applications on walls and other upright structures. Its rubberized consistency ensures that it stays in place without sagging or dripping once applied. This feature is especially useful for sealing seams or joints that are not flat.

What surfaces can Flex Paste be applied to?

Flex Paste can be applied to a broad range of surfaces, including wood, metal, concrete, plastic, and more. Its adaptability makes it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, protecting against moisture. Whether you're sealing a garage door seam or patching a window frame, Flex Paste provides a reliable solution.

Can Flex Paste be removed once applied?

Yes, Flex Paste is removable. If you need to change or adjust your application, you can scrape it off with a putty knife or similar tool. This feature allows for modifications and repairs without damaging the underlying surface, making it a practical choice for temporary fixes.

Is Flex Paste safe to use around pets and children?

Flex Paste is safe for use around pets and children once it is fully cured. The paste is formulated to be non-toxic, ensuring that it does not pose any harm after application. However, it’s best to keep the area well ventilated and supervise pets or children while the paste is drying to ensure safety.

Some users report success using it to protect doors from rising waters, highlighting its waterproof capabilities.
