Answer: For me the straps were very snug. So much so that I actually bought a second pair one size larger than normal to accommodate the snugness. This solved the issue for me, although I wish I didn't have to order a size up because it is slightly larger than what I'm generally comfortable with. I made an exception in this case because the flops are so damn comfy! -

Answer: I bought these for my son in law. All I know is the extra large was too big and we reordered the large. I think the medium will fit. Seems like they don't like a lot of excess sole around the toes and heel so the smaller size seemed to fit the foot more closely. Good luckn -
