- The camera's sensor offers versatile performance for both photo and video applications, supporting 4K video at up to 60p or 30p when oversampled from a 7K area, and Full HD at up to 120 fps.
- Equipped with DIGIC X image processor borrowed from the R3, the R7 supports up to 30 fps continuous shooting and a broad ISO range from 100-32000, expandable to ISO 51200.
- The R7 provides high-res UHD 4K 60p internal video using the full sensor width, 10-bit sampling with Canon Log 3, 7K oversampled 4K shooting, and 120p recording at up to Full HD resolution, with HDR-PQ recording also possible.
- The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system features 651 automatic AF points that cover the entire sensor area, with improved subject detection and tracking, recognizing people, animals, and vehicles, and focusing down to an impressive -5 EV in low-luminance conditions.
