Answer: It depends on how full you pack it. Among the features of this very versatile backpack are it is expandable and it has multiple straps that allow you to tighten everything and make it more compact. Fully packed, it will probably not fit under a seat; moderately packed with all the straps tightened, it will. I just returned from a multi-flight trip and had no problem carrying it on as a “personal item”. It also fit in the tighter overhead compartments of some smaller planes. I travel a lot and am very pleased with this backpack. The design is well thought out and efficient. Hope this helps. -

Answer: I would assume you would just wipe it off. It’s pretty big and wouldn’t work in a washing machine. -
