The kit doesn't come with the half-moon ceramic heat deflectors for indirect cooking, but one can use an 18" ceramic disc such as a pizza stone or a single half-moon for direct and indirect cooking. The contraption's assembly is easy but confusing, and there are instructional visual instructions attached to it. The product is interchangeable with accessories from a large BGE and is compatible with Kamado Joe. However, it is made in China.
