La Petite Creme French All-Natural Diaper Balm is a healing and nourishing diaper cream that is USDA certified organic. Customers have used this product for babies from infancy through 2 or 3 years old. Although it is not great for prevention as it is a lighter cream and not much of a barrier cream, it has excellent healing properties. Users have sworn by its ability to clear up rashes quickly, with noticeable improvement after the first day of use and complete clearance within 3-5 applications. Calcium hydroxide is added to the cream to act as a natural disinfectant and to balance the pH in the diaper area. The lotion is thinner and less effective at healing skin rash/irritation in comparison to the balm. The product has received mixed feedback, with some customers experiencing mold growth after a month of use and others finding it ineffective or detrimental for their baby's sensitive skin. However, others have had positive experiences with the product, finding that it worked great with only needing a little, and that it helped clear up eczema caused by a stomach bug.
