Answer: Not sure, the esc key on mine works fine. You might want to go into System Settings > Keyboards, and see if you are using the correct template. -

Answer: The Function (fn) keys have pre-sets. Always check the Apple website or search sites that can answer any computer questions. -

Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys not there?
Answer: The function keys are there and work the same as the wired keyboard I have. -

Answer: Yes, it is compatible. You can even use it as a wired keyboard by plugging it in with a lightning-to-USB cable. The latest OS it will run is 10.13.6. You can charge the keyboard on a newer Mac. -

Answer: If the computer uses a standard Bluetooth setup, it should work.
