Answer: Depends on the application: Kid's toy bow: probably work great. Old-school recurve or light compound bow: probably won't work. You could string up a bow with this but it won't last long. Bows impart a ton of stress compared to kites. Good bowstrings are assembled with multiple base strands and then serving at the ends and middle. This string is too fat for either of those. High performance compound: no idea... yer on yer own. But this is probably not you if you're just looking to save a few cents. -

Answer: You probably want 250 lb. string to match your weight and the weight of the board. Emma makes some heavier duty string for that. Hope this helps. -

Answer: I don’t understand what is a tip ups? I used my product for ice fishing. It works very good. I had no problems.
