However, some customers have reported issues with its effectiveness, citing the cheap plastic parts as a drawback. One reviewer found that the nylon friction washers allowed moving sections to move too easily. They machined new washers out of Delrin rod and replaced the nylon ones, resulting in a much sturdier device. Another customer found that just tapping the dial indicator 2-3tho to verify zero caused the arm to move, despite all the locking screws tightened hard. Despite these setbacks, other customers report that the device works perfectly and is a great price.
