What are the dimensions of the tent?
Answer: The tent is available in sizes that can accommodate up to 12 people with dimensions of 13', 16.5', 20', and 23'. -

Is the tent waterproof?
Answer: Yes, the tent is waterproof and has a weightless WR (Water) treatment that maintains the natural breathability of 100% canvas cotton. -

What comes with the tent?
Answer: The tent comes with a detachable zip-in/zip-out floor, galvanized steel poles, four large roof vents with mesh, a heat-resistant silicone-coated stove jack, and a tool kit that includes pegs, pins, reinforced webbing, handle, and buckles-all packed in a waterproof tent bag. -
Question:
Does canvas loose waterproof characteristics over time, and does it require special waterproofing later on?
Answer: All canvas will loose waterproofing over time.. ( I use a pump up style bug sprayer) and clear Thompson waterproofing ( like you put on the house/deck) let it air out for a while after drying. And have a great waterproofing. ( learned from a old hunting guide in Wyoming) -
Question:
What is the difference between the Avalon series and the Regatta Series tents?
Answer: The Avalon tent is a thicker canvas and the ground sheet is romovable. The Regatta is a lighter built tent and is all one piece. Ground sheet is sewn in. -
Question:
What size stove best fits the 5m version of the tent?
Answer: Don’t go cheap or small with your stove, and don’t be burning virgin or green wood, else you’ll have a bad time. and Make sure you buy yourself a nice welders tarp (something that is extremely heat resistant) to put underneath. Otherwise, we purchased from Cylinder Stove, the outfitter model. Works great and can sometimes run you out of the tent if you’re not careful. Be sure to also purchase two temp gauges, one for the stove itself and one for the stove pipe. The stove pipe should never get over certain temps, or else you will melt the materials this tent has for a stovejack ho -

What is the windproof grade for this tent?
Answer: I’m not sure of the grade. But I’m positive I’ve enjoyed 30 mph winds in mine. (This is the best “tent” I’ve ever used.( spent 23 fall day’s , hunting and fishing out of it)) -

What is the setup size?
Answer: You’ll need about 5- 7 feet all the way around to stake it out properly so the walls are straight. -

What accesories do I need to buy? steaks? stove jack accesories?
Answer: All accessories should come with the tent. I have only purchased a stove and sleeping gear. Like you would with all tents. -

How durable is the floor? Will it withstand punctures from dropped heavy objects and walking on with boots? Embers from wood stove?
Answer: Yes, to the heavy boots and wood stove embers but not sure about the sharp objects. Ours has lasted about a year with constant use. -

How long does it take to set up?
Answer: If alone, and you follow directions, it takes 20-30 minutes. -

High wind resistance ?
Answer: I’ve not had any problems with the wind. (Make sure you stake it properly. The stakes they send are vary good) -

Is this tent sturdy and well built enough to live in while building a house?
Answer: It is vary sturdy, and vary well built. Vary dry once you set the fibers. I own a 4m and a 6m tent. And I live in mine for hunting camp, long term family camping. I think they are great.( best I’ve found, dont need extra frame,poles,floor,ect) I do use it in winter with snow.( with a rain fly)... but nothing replaces a HOUSE.
