Hornady Gunsmithing Tools Editorial Review
The Hornady Lock-N-Load AP Powder Funnel Die is a helpful accessory for loading precision rifle rounds on a progressive press. When used with an electronic powder dumper / scale, this die produces very accurate rounds. It takes a little time to get used to, but once mastered, it works great. It is an excellent replacement for an automatic powder thrower and is preferred over Dillon's equivalent powder die for manual powder charging. However, it should be noted that the funnel is susceptible to static cling, which can be annoying when trying to measure by hand. Overall, this product exceeded expectations and is a must-have for anyone charging precision rifle cases on a progressive press.
