PTC USB Cables Editorial Review
This Premium USB2.0 True Automatic Sharing Switch is designed to enable two computers to share a single USB device like a printer, scanner, or hard drive. However, customer reviews reveal several defects both with the hardware and drivers. The CD included for driver installation is not user-friendly and has instructions written in Chinese. Some buyers' laptops did not have CD drives and found it difficult to download the software from the seller's website. Others received packages with missing or different cables from what was promised in the product description. A few buyers complained about the product's label as "true automatic" being misleading since it still requires manual switching between the two computers. The drivers provided were useless, and it was difficult to find compatible ones to make the hardware work. Many buyers found the product unsatisfactory and returned it.
