The Leather Honing Strop Block by BeaverCraft is double-sided and can be used on any knives, both straight and pocket. One side is rough for cleaning the blade, and the other is fine and smooth for a final finish. The strop is made of cow leather and is about 1/8" thick. The rough, light side should be used first, then a polishing compound should be added to an old leather belt before using the fine, smooth side for final finish. Customers have found the strop to be well made and durable for regular use.
