The clamp head, which holds the work, is made of molded plastic, and the screw mechanism is poorly made, making it difficult to tighten the hoop firmly, leading to the hoop becoming loose or getting crushed if tightened too much. However, the stand is comfortable to use, easily adjusted, and has many different positioning options. It folds up nicely for easy travel, making it a great buy for beginners or advanced users.
