The story jumps around between the narrators, Alma's brother, and Zvi Litvinoff, the published author of The History of Love. At first, the story feels a bit disjointed but as it unfolds, unexpected connections arise between characters and events, and the pieces fall together in a way that makes perfect sense. Although there are parts of the story that may seem improbable, it is beautifully told and shines in the audio version with different narrators portraying the different characters.
