The AcuRite Iris 5-in-1 Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Weather Station is accurate, useful, and delivers on every aspect, including displaying indoor/outdoor temperatures, wind speed/direction, rainfall, and offering a forecast feature. The sensor unit requires four double-A batteries, and the display unit can be powered by either batteries or a power adapter. The sensor unit should be mounted 33 feet above the ground on a solid base and in a location without redirected wind. The wireless connection should be within 330 feet. After 14 days of operation, the weather station has a forecasting feature that estimates the weather for the coming 12 to 24 hours. However, setting up the weather station takes some time, and you will need a compass to aim the system south.
