The narrow exhaust band clamp is a well-engineered product which is best for exhaust pipes between 1.75 and 2 inches, with a working range of 1.75 to 1.8 inches. It is a good option to use to patch small holes in the exhaust. However, it is not recommended for connecting a tailpipe tip that has fallen off as narrow exhaust clamp does not function well in this situation, one should go for a lap joint exhaust clamp. The clamp does not fit 1 7/8 motorcycle exhaust pipes. One needs to purchase a 2.25-inch exhaust narrow band clamp for 2.125 inches exhaust pipes. For exhaust pipes with 60mm OD, a 2.25-inch exhaust clamp is recommended. The clamp does not require slotted pipes, in fact, it helps to seal the slots of the pipe where it is installed.The product appears to be well made and comes at a good price. However, a customer received only one clamp instead of two as advertised. While another customer noted that the product didn't work as the stud broke before the clamp could apply enough pressure to seal the pipe.
