Cosmology Editorial Review
General Relativity: The Essentials is a book that attempts to balance teaching the complex subject of general relativity while not being too intimidating for beginners. It does this by using real mathematics to explain the subject matter, but not diving too deep into the complexities of Riemannian geometry and manifold theory that would require prior knowledge. This results in a clear, concise, and accurate introduction to general relativity that could lead to fruitful speculation about quantizing gravity. It is enjoyable to read and not boring, making it suitable for those who are interested in the subject but don't want to be overwhelmed.
