Horror Editorial Review
**** "Chopping Mall" stands as a quintessential 1980s B-horror film, celebrated for its blend of cheesy thrills and nostalgic kitsch. The premise—young people finding themselves trapped in a mall, facing off against malfunctioning security robots after a storm-induced lightning strike—offers a classic setup that is both amusing and suspenseful. The film successfully embraces its low-budget roots, presenting a mix of lackluster acting and inventive, albeit ridiculous, scenarios that only enhance its charm. Customers have praised it for its entertaining mix of horror and humor, emphasizing the film's ability to provide a fun experience rather than genuine terror. The death scenes are particularly highlighted for being cool and believable, with standout moments that have become iconic in their own right, such as a notorious head-loss sequence. Many viewers enjoy the camaraderie it fosters—it's best watched with friends, where audiences can laugh, critique, and indulge in the absurdity together. The film succeeds in delivering a storyline that culminates in an exciting and tense finale, leaving viewers satisfied with its conclusion. "Chopping Mall" represents a lighthearted homage to the era's slasher genre, appealing to fans of cheesy horror films looking to add a delightful gem to their collection. **
