Answer: This tester is only suitable for 12 to 24 volts DC and cannot handle higher voltages. If the voltage exceeds 24 volts, it may damage the tester. -
Question:
Will this tester measure less than 12 volts, like a 5 volt reference signal?
Answer: Yes, this tester can measure voltages lower than 12 volts. However, there are testers specifically designed for 5 volt measurements available at a similar price. -
Question:
Can this tester check grounds?
Answer: To check grounds, connect the tester to the positive side of the battery. The test light should illuminate when touching a ground. If the light does not turn on, check the connection and ensure it is properly grounded by testing it on the negative terminal of the battery.
