Push Bar Panic Exit Device, Aluminum, with Exterior Lever
The Push Bar Panic Exit Device is a Grade 1 (UL listed) aluminum device that comes with an exterior lever. It has received mixed reviews from customers, with some praising its functionality while others have expressed confusion about installation and compatibility with other accessories. One customer asked about compatibility with a keypad knob/handle and was unsure of its compatibility since it is sold as a set. Another customer asked if the outside key lever would remain unlocked with the key, and was informed that they have that option to leave it locked or unlocked. However, it was made clear that this device is not suitable for a 42" door. Another customer expressed difficulty with the installation, as one of the two latches did not disengage when they pushed the panic bar. They were informed that the latch was mounted incorrectly and there was a landing area for the small latch that prevents this issue. Lastly, a customer asked if the device had UL 305 stamped on it since that was what they needed, but there was only a UL sticker on it that did not specify a number. Despite this, they were satisfied with its functionality, and their fire department approved of it. Overall, the Push Bar Panic Exit Device has its benefits, but customers should double-check their door measurements and read the instructions carefully to avoid installation errors.
