The metal bouton on the right side of the hat is an interesting feature and doesn't detract visually from the hat. If the hat is too tight, it is unlikely that you can stretch it yourself, and you should take it to a hat or shoe repair shop. Lastly, XXL size corresponds to a head diameter of 7 3/4 - 7 7/8 or 24 1/4" - 24 5/8".
