- TRUE 10GbE NETWORKING — WHAT YOU NEED: Connect to any USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4/5 port for wired speeds up to 10Gbps. Achieving full 10Gbps requires a 10GbE capable router, switch, or NAS on your network and a CAT6a or better Ethernet cable. The adapter auto-negotiates down to 5GbE, 2.5GbE, 1GbE, or Fast Ethernet on standard home networks — ideal for both new and legacy setups. Left LED glows green at 10GbE, amber at lower speeds.
- DRIVER SETUP — READ BEFORE BUYING: macOS 11.0+ and most modern Thunderbolt 4/USB4 systems are plug-and-play — no driver needed. Windows 10+ and Linux 3.10+ require downloading and installing the AQC113 driver before the adapter is recognized. The driver is available on sabrent.com. After connecting, allow 15–30 seconds for the adapter to initialize and obtain a network connection. Windows users: for best reliability, disable Energy-Efficient Ethernet in Device Manager under the adapter's Advanced properties.
