Is the DL-SV3 compatible with other types of film slides?
Answer: No, the DL-SV3 is specifically designed for use with 35mm film slides only. -

Will this work for negative film strips?
Answer: That was the main reason I purchased this item and was very disappointed after trying to feed negatives through the film slid. If the negative film strip has the slightest bend it becomes next to impossible to push the strip through the viewer. The negative will almost always feed into the viewer rather then come out the opposite end--it became very frustrating. -
Question:
Is this only for 35 mm color negatives? I am looking for something to view b/w negatives.
Answer: The viewer would work with b&w negatives if the negative is housed in a frame, similar to a slide. The feeder mechanism is not designed for negatives in strips. -
Question:
What kind of lamp is used in the viewer?
Answer: I don't know. I like it. It is good and bright. I do not want to take it apart to look at a lamp I may not be able to identify in any event. -
Question:
Where is the product manufactured? Thanks.
Answer: I can't find any thing on the label on the viewer that tells where it was made. My guess would be China. -
Question:
What are the dimensions of the viewport?
Answer: 3 x 3 Works ok for me, but not for pros.
