This Swingline paper cutter is made of plastic, but is still sturdy and can cut cardboard for shipping packages, regular laminate pages, and single sheets of very thin plastics, vinyls, and Construction paper. It is self-sharpening, but has a cheap quality blade that does not hold an edge particularly well. The safety clip disengages easily and the blade does not always cut straight lines. However, it is easy to use and great for cutting narrow strips and for school projects.
