The Flair Puck Wireless WiFi Smart Thermostat allows users to program a schedule on the Flair mobile app to set the vent active or inactive and raise or lower the setpoint, which is a useful feature. It will not work if the internet goes out, and customer support will help with finding the right IR codes to download and set up your unit if needed. Flair will work with all Nest thermostats, and the Pucks and Smart Vents will provide room-by-room temperature control in your home. The Flair App allows you to program "Smart Away." However, the overall customer experience seems to be negative: the app which connects to it wants you to subscribe/register so that you can be tracked, there are specific requirements for Wi-Fi that are not entirely clear, and often the device deletes accounts. There are numerous connectivity and app-related issues whereby the app crashes and needs resetting daily and it frequently disconnects from all other devices. Also, there are some serious functionality issues, whereby the temperature sensor and temperature settings do not always match, and the Flair Puck frequently disconnects from the app. The puck has weak range, and the design is small, cheap-looking and difficult to operate. Lastly, it seems that there is no reliable way to ensure that Flair is keeping your family warm or cool throughout the night and letting you know what is happening when you are not home.
