Answer: You could lower the bottom shelf to the ground but removing it completely would leave the legs unstable. You will need another form of support towards the bottom of the unit. Braces can be found online, Part Numbers SI-AHR18C-D and SI-AHR24C-W. -

Answer: No, it cannot be adjusted. -
